Royal New Kent Golf Club

Strantz links-inspired / rugged public golf

Royal New Kent is the chaos agent. Mike Strantz gave it big contours, blind-ish visuals, and more personality than the polite Williamsburg resort courses. Some groups will love it. Some will spend four hours asking who approved the landforms.

Tough layout. Cart path only which made for a long arduous day. Two birdies made it more enjoyable. Starter never told us cart path only but carts kept you off the fairways. Range closed too. Jessica at bar was great.
