Erin Hills
Walking-only championship heathland / glacial land
Erin Hills is the philosophical counterweight to Straits. Straits is theatrical and built. Erin Hills feels discovered from glacial land. Do not make the Wisconsin trip without at least considering it, but do not jam it into a schedule like a tourist attraction. It deserves a day and, ideally, a night.

This place was magical. Beautiful topography cut into the Wisconsin dairy farm countryside. Both (very) challenging in its concourse and design - yet approachable and “gettable” if you hit your shots. Got very lucky and the weather was phenomenal and the course was in immaculate

I have to be honest — while playing the Out Course, I was a bit disappointed.
The only things that really stood out were the smooth fairways and the soft, well‑kept greens.
But once I moved on to the In Course, wow… this was truly something special.
Every hole felt like a blend

A bit of Wisconsin perfection. Tees can accomodate to all different handicaps to make it fun but this is not a beginners course. The staff and every detail was impeccable granted I was fortunate enough to get to play here weeks after the Womens Open. This course is challenging fu

Strong play
Whistling Straits - Straits Course
Straits is the reason many groups come.
Strong play
Whistling Straits - Irish Course
Irish suffers from being next to a celebrity sibling.

Strong play
Blackwolf Run - River Course
River is not the backup plan.

Strong play
Blackwolf Run - Meadow Valleys
Meadow Valleys is not filler, but it is the easiest Kohler course to cut if the budget, legs, or calendar get tight.
Strong play
The Baths of Blackwolf Run
The Baths is exactly what Kohler needed: something fun that does not require everyone to get punched by Pete Dye for five
