Gamble Sands
Chambers Bay
Walking-only municipal links / U.S. Open venue
Chambers Bay is worth playing. It is not worth pretending it is next door. Use it as the Seattle/Tacoma bookend if flights and time support it. If the trip is really Gamble Sands, keep Chambers out unless the group has a genuine pilgrimage appetite.

Just a wonderful experience all of the way from checking in to heading out! Here's the highlights:
Check in is the usual until you realize they actually put you on a SHUTTLE to head down to the course where you are greeted with a brand new snack shop/refreshment center and range

Chambers bay is the perfect place to come to clear your mind. If you come early it’s not busy, later in the day is does get pretty busy but never crowded because it’s so spacious. They have these big poles which people can add locks on with writing which is worth seeing. You can

Hiking was our reason for going there. A 4 mile loop around the golf course and grounds is amazing. Not only do you have great views of Puget Sound and the Olympics you can watch golfers on the course.
