The Approach Shot

Gamble Sands

Chambers Bay

Walking-only municipal links / U.S. Open venue

Chambers Bay is worth playing. It is not worth pretending it is next door. Use it as the Seattle/Tacoma bookend if flights and time support it. If the trip is really Gamble Sands, keep Chambers out unless the group has a genuine pilgrimage appetite.

Hiking was our reason for going there. A 4 mile loop around the golf course and grounds is amazing. Not only do you have great views of Puget Sound and the Olympics you can watch golfers on the course.
