San Francisco Bay Area
CordeValle Golf Club
Luxury resort / oak-studded valley
CordeValle is the premium anchor. It gives the Bay Area something the city courses cannot: a real resort golf experience with service, caddies, lodging, and a complete escape from urban logistics. It is not cheap and it is not in San Francisco, but it is the cleanest way to turn this from a course-hopping itinerary into a proper golf trip. Treat it as a stay-and-play commitment, not something you casually squeeze between city rounds.

Very nice golf course in the Santa Cruz mountains. Immaculate conditions on fairways and greens. Bunkers with fluffy white sands.
It is long, challenging and yet satisfying. You have to play it strategically, think target golf.

We had a wonderful stay at CordeValle last weekend. The property was beautiful, welcoming, and spotless. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, especially with our toddler. Everyone we encountered, from the front desk to the team driving us around in golf ca

We had such a wonderful stay at CordeValle! From the moment we arrived, every staff member was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Javan, the bellman, went above and beyond helping with our bags and making sure we were settled in comfortably. Brian, who has been with the reso

Other courses in the same trip.

Must play
TPC Harding Park
Harding Park is the San Francisco anchor.

Strong play
Half Moon Bay - Old Course
The Old Course is the more traditional Half Moon Bay round, and its 18th is the photo.

Strong play
Half Moon Bay - Ocean Course
The Ocean Course is the scenery play at Half Moon Bay and the better first pick if you are only playing one

Strong play
Stanford Golf Course
Stanford is the course architecture people will want to talk about, but the access caveat matters.

Strong play
Presidio Golf Course
Presidio is not the flashiest course in the guide.
