Turning Stone
Shenendoah Golf Club
Parkland / wetlands resort
Shenendoah is the smart first round. It gets the group into the trip without immediately handing everyone a wetlands-based personality test. It is playable enough for the whole group and still good enough to matter.

The Shenandoah course at Turning Stone Resort and Casino gets five stars from me in terms of the quality of the course itself. The rest of my experience was disappointing.
I had a 9:30am tee on a Sunday morning. At 9:35, I was still waiting for the twosome in front of me to hit

Stunning course. One of the most beautiful courses in ny. Staff was amazing, super helpful. The carts are all electric and super quiet. Bunkers are placed so perfect. The rough was very unforgiving. I'm definitely making a return to this course.

Beats everything in Upstate New York by a mile. Fairways feel like you are hitting off a carpet, greens roll true, and bunkers everywhere provide a nice challenge. Birdies are out there especially compared to the tougher Kaluhyat. Pricey but you will see why when you play there,
