New Mexico
Black Mesa Golf Club
Rugged high-desert public golf
Black Mesa is rawer and weirder than the polished resort rounds, which is the point. It is a serious architecture play in a desert landscape that feels more New Mexico than manufactured. Confirm operating days directly before building around it; this is not a seven-day-a-week resort machine.

I love scenic courses and this one is fantastic! We were traveling through the area and I’m so glad we stopped to play today. By far one of my favorite courses and I’ve played most of the top 10 public courses in the US. I need to visit NM more and each time I do, will add this c

Incredibly scenic golf course in a serene setting. Upon arrival you’ll wonder where all the holes are at- they wander back into the hills. Various sets of tees challenge golfers at any level. Michael the starter helpful and friendly. Order food right from the cart and it’s ready

Me and my brother played Black Mesa this week twice and truly loved the course. Staff was great especially the started Jerry. He was very friendly and helpful about the course. We highly recommend Black Mesa and will definitely play there again.

Sandia is the big Albuquerque resort round: long, broad, scenic, and tied to casino-resort lodging.

Strong play
University of New Mexico Championship Course
UNM Championship is old-school serious golf hiding in plain sight.

Strong play
