Old Greenwood

Mountain resort / Nicklaus championship

Old Greenwood is the best argument that Tahoe is more than Edgewood. The 6th is the risk/reward par 5 you remember, and the 7th brings a Redan-style contour into a mountain setting. It gives the trip a serious golf backbone, especially if you base in Truckee.

Great first time out here with the boys. We didn’t finish the course taking our precious time and got back quite late, but the staff was still really patient and didn’t make us feel rushed to return their carts. Holes were great and had some challenging ones. Perfect if you have

Terrific course/property. Good variety of holes with amazing views. First round in a long time where I used every club in the bag…which is fun! Plenty of houses on the course, but doesn’t feel overly “resort-y.” Will definitely be back when in the area.
