Sheep Ranch

Coastal links

Sheep Ranch is the most visually spectacular course at Bandon. Ocean views appear constantly, the clifftop exposure is ridiculous, and the double-green / snag-tree moments do exactly what they are supposed to do: make people reach for their phones.

The take

Sheep Ranch is the most visually spectacular course at Bandon. Ocean views appear constantly, the clifftop exposure is ridiculous, and the double-green / snag-tree moments do exactly what they are supposed to do: make people reach for their phones.

But scenery and strategy are not the same thing. Sheep Ranch is wide, shorter, and less layered than Pacific Dunes or Bandon Trails. On a calm sunset, it can be the most memorable round of the trip. In heavy wind, it can become more ordeal than architecture.

Sheep Ranch was amazing. A lot of fun holes. Wide open fairways but plenty of well placed hazards. Some drivable par 4’s with the right kind of wind. Also some long par 4’s with the wrong kind of wind. Wind makes it challenging and super fun. You will find yourself using your 180

The Sheep Ranch golf course is an unparalleled golf experience. Classic Scottish style course. Pretty wide open of the tee box; grip and rip on most. The greens are large and fun as they have lots of undulations. Very challenging. Reads. The bramble bushes are very serious so if
